Castrol Act>evo X-tra Scooter 4T 5W-40 and 10W-30 are PART SYNTHETIC scooter engine oils designed for latest generation scooters equipped with CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). They are particularly suited for the hardship of city driving. 5W-40 is suited for European scooters, 10W-30 for Japanese ones.

Honda specifically recommends 10W-30 low friction oils conform to JASO MB specifications for its range of scooters with dry centrifugal clutch.

Scooter engines have a compact design with a small oil sump and are often ridden hard, spending most of the time at high speed, therefore they can run hot and may suffer from carbon build-up in the piston ring area, as well as from excessive oil thickening.
