2010 sees a return to Superbike racing at Silverstone after a two-year absence. Dramatic alterations to a circuit steeped in history means that Silverstone will become one of the fastest tracks on the Superbike calendar. The 5.9 kilometre circuit will draw high speeds, and no doubt attract huge crowds with the recent addition of three new grandstands in the new Arena section. The £5 million renovations add multiple overtaking opportunities and a fresh look to the 50-year-old venue.

Castrol is voluntarily recalling one litre bottles of Castrol oil used in two stroke engines due to water contamination. The contamination in some bottles may potentially be sufficient to cause engine seizure. The affected products and the batch numbers are listed below and were on sale from 3 September 2012. The products are mainly used in motorcycles or small scooters, but can also be used in other equipment with two stroke engines.

What to do

If you have used one of the products with a batch number listed below, do not use your equipment and contact Castrol on the number below for advice and information.

If you have not used the product please return it to the retailer for a replacement or refund.
