The Phillip Island circuit is not only the home of Australian motorsport, but is also one of the most breathtaking venues on the calendar. The beautiful scenery and ocean views complement the fluid racing lines of the 4.4 kilometre track and all combine to provide some of the most spectacular racing in the Superbike season. Steeped in motor racing tradition, the first car races were held on public roads in the area until a permanent track was built in 1956. The Superbike lap record is still held by local favourite, Australian Troy Corser from 2007.
